Antique Butterfly Wing Brooch. Marked on the backside of the brooch it says,"England Sterling Silver - then when you turn the brooch upside down it says Pat Aug 1924."
This brooch is gorgeous and the background glows with a beautiful bright blue color.The entire brooch is made from butterfly wings and the lady on the brooch looks so gorgeous with her dress shimmering in the light (difficult to capture in the photos).
The brooch is oval with a slightly domed glass front (the glass is in exceptional condition).The pin on the back juts out past the front of the brooch and you can see the pin from the front.The woman in the really pop out at you and when you see the brooch in different light it sparkles,shines and the colors are very vibrant and change colors slightly.
The brooch has a simple C clasp (open) and tube hinge.
