Not sure what was stored in this jar. It looks like a dresser powder jar but, it''s so big for that. Over 6 inches across. Gorgeous hand painted blue bird in tree. The unique with brass "staples" around the bottom really add to the design.
Crazing due to age.
Slight chip inside the lid. Mostly hidden when closed. There is no signature but, the artwork looks to be Japanese.
