I purchased this way back in 2002/2003, and used it with a single game & pack of associated cards, ewe used perhaps 4-5 times total, and then has been stashed away in a closet ever since, so it’s in perfect working order still, barely ever used! This device was released by Nintendo to connect to fgqmeboy advance (and/or GC, DS, etc) to then Swipe like a credit card these collectible cards.Nintendo would release packs of associated with each game. These cards contained special items or levels or characters, and what not that could only be accessed via swiping these codes. If I still had a necessary device, I would certainly be checking it out again today as most every card ever released is available online and can be printed in cardstock to for easy access. Also the mod/hack/home group segment have been developing code to be run in this manner as well! Perfect uncommon gift for the Nintendo enthusiast, classic game buff, or modded/hacker/home brew extraordinaire! In new condition!
