This Mother Panda started out in Swarovski’s Silver Crystal, Endangered Species collection then moving over to the Rare Encounters collection before finally retiring in 2006. This Panda is very special it was the first piece to use so much black colored crystal which had previously been reserved for eyes and noses. To pull this off so that the black didn’t show through the clear, a mirrored coating was used on the black crystal pieces. The faceting of the clear body accentuated by the black mirrored finish pieces really make this Panda sparkle, which can be seen in the different look in the pictures just by using a flash on a couple. The Swarovski Swan logo is imprinted on the bottom of one of the back paws.
