Overview: Up for sale is this really tremendous impasto spring landscape oil painting. This piece is signed at lower right (appears to read "G. Hayze" or "G. Hazze"). I purchased this from a seller who had two pieces by the artist. The other was dated 1927, so though this is undated, I would estimate it to be around the same 1920s time period. It''s lovely, bright piece with chunky clouds rolling over a purple mountain in the background, and a lovely green forest scene in the foreground. Painting is unframed.
Condition: Painting is in good overall condition. Large triangular chip/paint loss area at lower left corner. Otherwise, mild edge wear throughout.
Measurements: Painting measures 10.5 inches high x 7 inches wide.
