This is a vintage, Mid 20th Century Carved Chinese Chess Set.
Pieces are made of Soapstone.
Tile inlay with wood surround featuring carved dragons and phoenixes.
Brass hinges and handle.
A drawer slides out on each side to house the chess figures; drawers are lined in a red material with elastic to keep the figures-elastic needs replaced.
Condition:
Wear to figures.
Excellent condition
The felt bottom is lifting in some if the pieces.
Elastic holding figures is very loose.

Closed approx 15" long x 8.5" tall x 4" deep
