This is a used first gen Apple Pencil! Nothings wrong with it I used it for a few months then decided to upgrade and I needed a completely different pen! So it works just fine all the pieces are their, I did change the tip to the back up so the one in the case is the used one and the one on the pencil is the new one, I just included them both because nothing is wrong with used one just wanted you to have a new one on the pencil
