This beautiful Niniane is the second cold cast porcelain bust from Japanese illustrator Shunya Yamashita, based on artwork created exclusively for Kotobukiya.
She stands almost 9” tall, with her legs meant to seem submerged in water. A true lady of the lake, her name is taken from the entity that delivers Excalibur in classic Arthurian legends.

Shunya’s artwork has been interpreted into 3D form, with ornate detailing in her wrist gauntlets, and elaborate sculpting of the enormous fantasy sword. Another instant classic from the art of Shunya Yamashita series.
This bust figure certainly has some heft to it and the metallic sword is nicely cool to the touch. It all presents very elegantly. Figure was previously displayed in a glass enclosure, so it was not handled more than being placed and then removed for storage.
