This beautiful and charming sailing scene, was painted in the mid 60s, using the board it was painted on as a reference. Signed Doris Malloy the signature is a bit difficult to read, during my research I found no information on this artist.
Very skilled interpretation of a serene sailing scene with 2 crew members and a sail full of wind, heading into a beautiful rising sun. Perfect size standing 11 3/4”in. x 13 3/4”in. with a depth of approximately 2”in. framed. This is the perfect little painting for that nook or smaller space where a simple understated piece of art would make all the difference.
